Lady of Milkweed Manor
Julie Klassen writes a well researched novel illustrating the trials of unwed mothers in late 17th and early 18th century. It is in a gothic novel format with the twist of pregnancy induced insanity. This book was informative, gripping and entertaining. Those who enjoy the gothic or women's studies would enjoy this book and the historical research it inspires.
